A list of suggested hotels (with booking instructions) is posted at http://www.iaia.org/conferences/iaia12/planning-your-stay.aspx.
Petrogal is a proud sponsor of IAIA12.

2. Special
Issue on 'The State of the Art of Impact
Assessment', IAPA Vol 30(1) 2012
We are delighted to announce that this special issue is now available on-line. As this is the first edition of Impact Assessment and Project Appraisal (IAPA) (which is now in its 30th year) to be published by Taylor and Francis, it has been made free access to all. The link to access all papers in this special issue is: http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/tiap20/30/1.
We believe that the six papers, covering Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Policy Assessment, Social Impact Assessment, Health Impact Assessment, and Sustainability Assessment provide a comprehensive and insightful overview of the current state of these fields of practice, and point to some interesting and challenging directions for the future.
We hope you will find them useful. Please feel free to circulate this email to your networks.
Best
wishes,

IAIAConnect Pass
Previously, non-IAIA members were only able to view group discussions on IAIAConnect, our online professional community; they were not able to reply or make postings of their own. Now, for US$30/year, non-members can purchase a “Connect Pass” which will give them access to IAIAConnect including the ability to post and contribute to discussions and announcements, join topical groups, receive digests, and network with IAIA members and other Connect Pass holders. Passholders will also receive monthly e-newsletters from IAIA. (Note, however, that access to IAIA’s quarterly journal and members-only web pages is not included in the Connect Pass fee.) The Connect Pass replaces the Associated Individual membership category.
To purchase a Connect Pass, visit the online store.
4.
Non-Conference
Training
Historically, IAIA has offered training courses ONLY in conjunction with our annual conferences. Now, thanks to a program developed by IAIA’s Training and Professional Development Committee (TPDC), you may see IAIA’s logo on some of these same courses offered outside of our annual conference.
If you see a special IAIA-endorsement logo on a course flyer, that means the course has been vetted by the TPDC and was delivered successfully (as measured by participant evaluations) at an IAIA conference or special event within the past six years. This is a new program, and we look forward to being able to offer an increasing number of training courses to impact assessment professionals around the world.
5. Save

The theme will be “Impact Assessment: The Next Generation.” The first announcement, call for papers, and conference website will be available soon. Watch for details in future e-news announcements.
